Opening Ceremony

Opening ceremony at the event site: parade through Silkeborg’s pedestrian streets and welcome by Silkeborg’s Mayor. After the ceremony there will be live music.

The fountain in Silkeborg Langsø has been upgraded and renovated and will be on display for the opening.

Food Court

The venue at Søvej will be a culinary oasis with food from all over the world. Here you can also experience concerts and the European Championships from the stands by the lake.

Super Jumper

Feel the rush – up to 7 meters up. Super Jumper is a fun experience in the thinner air layers, where safety is of course top notch.

Friday and Saturday, during the European Canoe and Kayak Championships, the whole family can try their balance on the popular SUP boards.

You board the SUP boards, under expert guidance, on Søgade.

Climbing Wall

The 8-meter-high climbing wall equals fun for the whole family, where competition can also easily go in it.

Guided citywalk

Join the Silkeborg Guides on a city walk through Silkeborg. On the trip we get around the central part of Silkeborg.

We begin at the harbor and the paper mill and then go up to the town aquare and around the streets of Silkeborg.

Experience Silkeborg’s beautiful city center with the City Train. During the European Championship week, the train also stops at the Venue in front of the town hall on Søvej, where the spectator seats are.

Nature Adventure at Odden

At Odden, in the middle of Silkeborg Langsø, you can go on a nature adventure. In the adventure, you follow the twins Alf and Echo via your mobile phones around the beautiful forest paths.

Nature Treasure Hunt at Odden

Pick up a treasure map at Silkeborg Children’s Library and explore Odden’s wild nature. Along the way, use your senses and answer questions about nature and wildlife correctly.

Silkeruten

Silkeruten is a 12 km long nature, culture and urban trail that encircles central Silkeborg. The special combination of city and nature attracts visitors from near and far to experience the nature around Silkeborg. Either in the deep calm, or as active in nature.
